About Kai
Hing Kai, Loke
Born in Malaysia, Kai is a former marketing manager with over a decade of experience. He is currently a fulltime freelancer delivering marketing, video production and photography solutions.
With over 12.5 years of experience in marketing and sales across both corporate (Up to Marketing Manager level) and agency (As a founder) roles, he offers a unique and dynamic blend of expertise.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Business & Commerce (Marketing & Management Major) from Monash University (Malaysia & Australia).
He started his career with sales in the B2B software industry; learning and experiencing hands-on the fundamentals of business (i.e. client, partner & supply-chain management).
He then started his passion in marketing where he managed diverse international brands and handled a wide range of roles. From delivering the front-end results that are visible to the public, to the back-end workings that make things happen.
From there, he took the entrepreneurial route to do freelance to scale his experience and portfolio. This path allowed him to work on additional industries such as agritech, property tech, F&B, insurance and music.
His deep and diverse experiences help him to navigate the intricacies of marketing and understand the pain points on both sides of the client-agency aisle.
He is currently based in Kuala Lumpur, but travels to Bangkok occasionally.
